  • 1 1/2 scoops chocolate whey protein powder (no added sugar)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered monk fruit sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Directions

  1. Pour the almond milk and cream into a blender, then add the protein powder, cocoa, sweetener, vanilla and xanthan gum.
  2. Blend 15 seconds to mix.
  3. Add the ice and blend on high 45 to 60 seconds, stopping to scrape down once, until thick and smooth with no ice chunks.
  4. Pour into 2 tall glasses and serve with spoons.
Tip: For an even thicker frosty, freeze the almond milk in an ice cube tray and use those cubes in place of plain ice.
